Our focus here will be our county. \nIf you are in need of somewhere to set up\, there are spaces still available at the Byrdstown Welcome Center for a nominal fee for non-chamber members. Chamber members can set up for free\, but must reserve their space in advance. Located at 1005 Livingston Hwy.\, Byrdstown\, TN. Other sales along the route include\, but not limited to: Boom Community Center\, Good Neighbors Theatre\, Triple K Flea Market\, Hwy. 111 Antiques\, Cast Iron and Collectibles. There will also be other stops along the route. This is just the focus for Pickett Co. TN. \nIn Pickett County\, the weekend will involve several other events and activities. DESCRIPTION:Join us this fall for a day full of farming at Cordell Hull’s Birthplace! “Hull’s Harvest” will differ from “Farming Up the Past”\, which we do in the spring. During this immersive interpretive experience\, we will be harvesting our crops in the gardens and preparing the farm for the winter. Visitors will be able to interact with our living historians and interpreters to learn what it was like for families\, like the Hulls\, who lived in Tennessee during the 1870s. \n\n\nActivities that will take place on this day include blacksmithing\, woodworking\, fiber spinning\, garden harvesting\, meat smoking\, music\, and much more. As you make your way around the park and speak with our resident farmers\, you will learn that nothing came easy and everything had to be earned. We hope that by attending this event and immersing yourself in the early life of Cordell Hull and his family\, you will learn how the small farm he grew up on in rural Pickett County\, Tennessee came to shape his character later in life. \n\nThere is no admission fee for this event. This program will occur rain or shine so prepare for the weather. Friday is reserved for School groups. Saturday is for everyone!

Daisy’s may participate with adult supervision. \nDuring this program\, we will observe nature and complete an outdoor painting\, learn how to safely practice archery and will learn first aid basics as well as build a first-aid kit to take home.
