Pickett County Family Resource Center serves families who have students enrolled in Pickett County Schools. Pickett County Food Bank (under the umbrella of the resource center) serves residents of Pickett County and is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Phone: 931-864-7123, email:, hours: Mon-Fri 8a-3p any time school is in session. Pickett County Food Bank can be accessed on summer break by visiting the Board of Education building. Food bank can be visited by Pickett County residents once every other month.

The Borderlands
Preserving local history for future generations at the local level. The exhibit is open during regular Chamber/Welcome Center business hours. Enjoy the treasure of local history. The Borderlands Foundation is a non-profit organization established to record and conserve the historic information from Pickett and surrounding counties. This centers on the fact that the first military action in Tennessee during the Civil War happened in Travisville, which is in Pickett County.

The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) was established by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1973 to be the delivery system for human resources in the 14 counties of the region: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, and White. UCHRA's mission is to help the Upper Cumberland region cultivate self-sufficiency and build true wealth through innovation, collaboration, and leadership; following a vision for a region abundant in resources, fostering a productive and vibrant life for the people of the Upper Cumberland.
