Super Summers

Ahhh…. summer on Dale Hollow Lake is paradise for many, yet we are a fairly well-kept secret. There is so much to do on the water, from houseboating to fishing (usually at night during the heat of summer), water skiing, tubing, kayaking and a variety of other activities. For land lovers, there is still plenty for you to enjoy, including hiking, shopping, programs at the state parks, farmers market and stands, scenic drives, summer programs at Good Neighbors Theatre, taste testing the area restaurants, and more. The Independence Day celebrations in Byrdstown are always fun, and several area businesses host small events during this season. The Highway 127 Corridor Yard Sale is held in early August each year.
