Take off through the countryside to enjoy the many rolling hills and curves our area offers, dotted with scenic wonders and plenty of roadside attractions.

Popular Motorcycle Routes

Hwy. 52 between Livingston and Jamestown, TN

has been compared to the “Tail of the Dragon.” Lots of varied and beautiful countryside. East Port Marina & Resort is a short drive off of that road, and The Farm at East Port would make a wonderful place for bikers to gather. They also hope to have live music in the near future, and they have a restaurant at the marina known to serve one of the best cheeseburgers on the lake!

Hwy. 127 between Static and Jamestown, TN

is a rare section of a major highway that has yet to be upgraded. However, that can be a plus. The highway is winding with great views of farmland, valleys and bluffs – and wildflowers on the right-of-way. There are general stores, and the Alvin C. York State Historic Site is along the route. Make sure to plan several stops. Plenty of homestyle cooking in the country stores and some great gift ideas.

Hwy. 325 East

is also popular. That road will take you between Byrdstown’s Courthouse Square to Hwy. 127. If you are up for an adventure and want a shortcut to the Hwy. 127/Jamestown area (from Byrdstown), then just past the Red Hill Church, turn right on Buck Mountain Road. That will take you up to Squirrel Flatt Road (where you will need to take a left to get to Hwy. 127). There is a great overlook on Buck Mountain Road before you get to the Squirrel Flatt turn – which is at a stop sign. Hwy. 127 is at the next stop sign. From there, you can choose to go left to Pall Mall, TN, or right to Jamestown, TN.

Pendergrass Road off of Hwy. 111 is gorgeous

– including an area where you can view the valley down below where Byrdstown is located. You can take any of several major roads to the left and end up back in town or on Moodyville Road. All provide gorgeous views. Moodyville Cash Store is located on Moodyville Road. They are open for breakfast and lunch, plus they are a gun store. You can find their contact information below. If you take Pendergrass Road to the end. It’s only a short distance to the K & S Lavender Farm by taking the right turn. Taking the left turn takes you back to Hwy. 325 East/ Moodyville Road.

Island View Overlook is located on Hwy. 111

just south of Byrdstown on the right. It is near the ReMax office. It doesn’t have an official address, but it is a gorgeous spot for viewing and pictures. Luke Bryan’s video for Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset features the spot in several shots. Check it out on YouTube!

If you would like a map of the motorcycle routes above, they are available for via mail order for free (you pay shipping) or by downloading the “Freeman Map App”
