Rock climbing is a developing activity, so continue to follow for updates. Currently, there are some great opportunities in the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area — marked routes are out of Kentucky — and Pickett State Forest, located at the eastern boundaries of Pickett County, with ample bluffs along the lake and the tributaries that flow into the lake. Depending on where you are staying at Dale Hollow Lake, Pickett State Forest is around a 45-minute to one-hour drive from the southeastern side of the lake.
